The Sonnenalp Apartments are located in merely a few meters distance from the ski lift and from the center of the cozy village Niederau in the Wildschönau.
Our apartments are a perfect pivotal point for your vacation and your excursions. Several restaurants and stores are accessible within walking distance.
The ski lift is located on 300 meters height, and during times of complete snow coverage you can almost ski directly back to the front door. 
The sunny and snow-guaranteeing high valley of Wildschönau has to offer way more though than just its roughly 70 kilometers of ski slopes and 26 ski lifts: well groomed hiking trails, cross-country skiing trails, snow shoeing, tobogganing, or horse sleigh rides are inviting you to enjoy the gorgeous white environment. If you are looking out for a challenge, the skiing areas of Brixen im Thale, Hopfgarten and Westendorf await you in the direct vicinity. With this whole range of activities and possibilities around you, the Wildschönau is the perfect place for a successful winter sport vacation!
No matter if you prefer recreation or action, a great wealth of holiday activities a
waits you off the winter season as well: discovering the mountain world under skilled guidance or alone, at great heights among the peaks, or with cultural visits in the valley - there are literally no boundaries to your hiking pleasures. 300 kilometers of marked and groomed hiking trails lead from the valley on past blooming grasslands and shady trees, along mountain pastures to the mountain ranges of the Kitzbüheler and Zillertaler Alps. Nordic-walking paths, mountain-biking trails, canyoning and rafting, paragliding, tennis courts and a swimming pool with three basins, slides and even a beach-volleyball field in the middle of the mountain coulisses are just a few of the sportive opportunities of the high valley Wildschönau.
